Govt. College of Teacher Education, Dharamshala, District Kangra, HPOn 2 July, 2021, Govt. College for Teacher Education, Dharamshala organised an online workshop on "Psycho-social support for Covid pandemic conditions", under the aegis of Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), Dept. of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The objective of the workshop was to create Covid helpers teams in the college, and to sensitize the need for psycho-social support for the people affected from Covid pandemic conditions. Mrs. Kiran Chandel (MGNCRE) was the resource person of the workshop. It was conveyed that when, "Each one Reach one" the mission and vision of MGNCRE becomes the war cry of the nation against the pandemic victory will not be far behind. Prof. Sapna Banta, Principal, GCTE Dharamshala, reiterated the fact that mental well being is also a key factor in the fight against covid. 87 participants pledged their support to be a part of covid helper teams. The workshop ended with vote of thanks by the co-ordinator of the programme, Prof. Yugraj Singh.
